We have isolated and identified the exact reason for the network packet loss and the degraded performance. This should not happen again. Over the next few days/weeks we will prepare a number of steps that when implemented will prevent this from happening again. It may take one or two scheduled maintenance windows with none or very short downtimes which may be required to get the permanent fix implemented. Thank you for your patience and rest assured that this has never happened to this extent in the past and likely won't happen again in the foreseeable future.
